Have you noticed that Cup Cakes and Home Baking seem to be the latest craze? You can barely enter any gift shop without seeing cupcake themed gifts!

Of course normal size cup cakes are great fun to make and delicious to eat, but have you ever thought of making a giant cupcake cake? There are a range of giant cupcake baking moulds and tins available to help you make a giant, mouthwatering giant cupcake cake, and some of these moulds are available for under a fiver!

Traditionally when baking you've really be limited to metal baking tins, which are great but they have a couple of disadvantages, namely the cost (well for a decent non-stick tin, at least) and the sheer size of them, a giant cupcake mould is cumbersome to say the least and takes up a fair amount of cupboard space too.

Silicone moulds are relatively new to the home baking market and are cheap to buy, and easy to store since they can be crushed, folded and literally screwed into a ball and yet they'll always retain their shape. I know you're probably thinking that a silicone mould will melt, i can't quite fathom how they work myself, but of cource the silicone is heat resistant and won't melt. You'll also find that silicone moulds make it so simple to remove a cake from them, as the mould is flexible you can simply peel the mould away from your freshly baked cake, and it won't ever stick to the mould!

Baking Accessories

Of course buying the mould is one thing, you'll probably want to buy a few other accessories such as an piping kit for your icing or other cake moulds or cup cake cases too. A little hint if your planning a small party, normal cupcakes look great with a giant cupcake as a centre piece!
